Welcome to
the Kodiak Wrestling Club's 5th year !
Regular season (November 9 - March 5) Information:
The club
will be practicing in Riverbend High School's Auxiliary Mat room. We will be proud members of
The
Northern Virginia Wrestling Federation, and participating in weekend
tournaments as a part of the league. This league offers beginners
a chance to compete against other Virginia wrestlers, and develop a
possible true love for the sport of wrestling.
Membership is
OPEN TO ALL AREA KIDS !!!
Our mission is "to promote wrestling knowledge
at the elementary/middle school level and teach your children solid
wrestling fundamentals before entering high school." ~ coach P.
Practice - Green (beginner) Tues. and
Thurs 6:15pm - 8:15pm
Blue (advanced) Mon. Wed. and Fri. 6pm - 8pm
Grey (5yr-6yr) Tuesday & Thursday 5:30pm - 6:15pm
Weekend Tournaments - Either Sat. or Sun.
at 3hr time slots around Fairfax Co. We do have a travel team for the
advanced wrestlers.
All coaches
are volunteers... We encourage parents to come help out
on the mat and need coaches. However, if you would like to coach there
are forms that need to be filled out and sent to the federation and AAU.
All coaches
must also be at practices.

In addition,
we will need parent volunteers interested in fundraising,
tournament transportation, and
general help. "Team Moms" are
welcome.
Club
membership $120.00 and includes AAU membership and insurance
($14), Northern VA Wrestling Federation membership($30), T-shirt and
Shorts, and a club singlet (turned back in at end of season) . The fee will also help to offset room rental, mat cleaning
materials, and purchase of team uniforms.
A special
discount will be provided to Middle School wrestlers wishing to join the
team who already paid the $100 pay to play fee.
Please bring
(2) copies of your child's birth certificate and check / money order /
cash payable to "Kodiak Wrestling Club".
