- Who can join?
Anyone ages 5-13.
- How much does it Cost?
$120 Includes AAU insurance, NVWF membership, shorts, T-shirt. The cost helps to offset team singlet costs and mat cleaner. More per family = discount.
$220 for 2 and $320 for 3.
A mandatory team fundraiser will cover costs associated with new singlets, cleaning supplies, janitorial fees, gym rental, and the end of year picnic.
- What do I need for registration?
**New members - A copy of your child's birth certificate

- How often are Practices?
Grey Team (5-6yrs) - Tuesday & Thursday 5:30pm - 6:15pm
Green Team (beginners ages 7-13) - Tuesday and Thursday 6:15pm - 8:15pmBlue Travel Team (advanced ages 9-13) - Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6pm - 8:15pm
**Friday will also be Open Middle School Night**We will have some scrimmages on Saturday mornings.
- When is the Season?
Start November 7th through 1st weekend of March with vacation time during Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks.
Open Mat for advanced wrestlers in September and October on Wednesday nights from 6PM-7PM
- When are Tournaments?
Either Saturday or Sunday in Northern Virginia. or Stafford depending on schedule. The meet schedule does not come out until all clubs have finished registration.
* Our Travel team will be hitting some open tournaments in addition to participating in NVWF.
Open tournaments will be in WVa, Penn., and MD.
- What Equipment does my son/daughter need?
Equipment - Team members will need shorts, t-shirts, headgear (mandatory), and wrestling shoes.
Headgear and Wrestling shoes can be bought from local vendors such as Sports Authority, Dicks, Play it Again Sports, and Gamers.A t-shirt and short combo is included in the $120 membership fee.
Singlets are provided during the season and collected afterwards. However, you may purchase a singlet and warm up for your child as well. If you are borrowing a singlet, a $50 deposit check is required. The check will not be cleared if you bring the singlet back at the end of the season.
- Can I coach ?
Yes ! We are always looking for more coaches. Forms for NVWF need to be filled out and you'll need to purchase AAU insurance ($14). All coaches are volunteers. We need coaches to be at 2 practices a week and stay for at least 2 divisions during the meet days. Yes, it's a time commitment and Yes it's worth it to see kids (not just yours) succeed in wrestling and life.
- Is there a Parent meeting? - Yes, There are 2 parent meetings this year.
Wednesday, November 2nd 6pm - 7:30pm (all beginners and their parents)Thursday, November 3rd 6pm - 7:30pm (all returning wrestlers and their parents)
